The “RITA HOME” history dates back to 1994 when our founder, Madam Ritanamala A/P Raja Gopal acquired a major controlling of this home.
She was formerly known as a nurse in a hospital and personally need to take care of few patients by herself in her own residence, after she noticed that they really need a comfortable and peacefully home, she decided to start “RITA HOME” on 31st October 1994 as a shelter for those who have been abandoned to move in comfortably.
On 23th June 2003 a suitable home was found and built on their own 4 lots land which located at NO. 12, LOT 6939, BATU 10 ¼, JALAN KAPAR, 42200 KAPAR, SELANGOR DARUL EHSAN, with all legal formalities which approved and registered with the Registrar Of Societies with Registration No. PPM-001-10-23062003.
Since our establishment on 31st October 1994 we have more than 100 residents from the categories such as Orphanage, Physically & Mentally Disability, Old Folks and Single Parents. The resources for this unfortunate residents are sent to us by the publics, Government Welfare Department and Non-Governmental Organization (NGOs).
We are able to manage the operating of expenses is from limited Government Grants and mostly by all kind of donations and fund raising activities from voluntary services rendered by good hearted peoples. The management’s success in the development and growth of the home is solely from the help and support from Social Welfare Departments and publics.
